MEVAC\u2122 LASOTA + H120\u00a0is a\u00a0<\/strong>live-attenuated<\/strong> freeze-dried vaccine\u00a0<\/strong>for immunization\u00a0against\u00a0Newcastle Disease<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Avian Infectious Bronchitis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Composition<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Live attenuated Newcastle Disease Virus LaSota [ME\/NDV3] strain \u2265 6.0 log10<\/sub>\u00a0EID50<\/sub>\/dose.<\/li>\n
  • Live attenuated Infectious Bronchitis Virus classic H120 GI-1 [Eg\/IBV2] strain \u2265 3.5 log10<\/sub>\u00a0EID50<\/sub>\/dose.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Indications: <\/strong>For active immunization of commercial chickens against Newcastle Disease and Avian Infectious Bronchitis Virus. Vaccination Program: Birds can be vaccinated from first day of age onwards, as per advice from your poultry veterinarian.<\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Onset of immunity:<\/strong>\u00a02 weeks after primary vaccination.<\/p>\n

    Duration of immunity:\u00a0<\/strong>until 6 weeks after single dose.<\/p>\n

    Administration<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The vaccine should be administered via the eye drop, spray, or drinking water routes.<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Eye drop:<\/strong>\u00a0Reconstitute 1,000 doses into 3 to 5 mL of non-chlorinated drinking water and subsequently dilute it into 30-50 mL of non-chlorinated drinking water. Use a calibrated dropper to distribute 30-50 \u03bcl-drops. Place one drop of the vaccine solution on the eye of each bird, allow the drop to spread, and release the bird.<\/li>\n
    • Spray vaccination:<\/strong>\u00a0Spray the vaccine solution above the birds using a sprayer device capable of producing micro-droplets (mean diameter 80-100 \u03bcm). Make sure that birds are closely confined together during spraying. The ventilation system of the poultry house should be inoperative during the spray administration.<\/li>\n
    • Drinking water:\u00a0<\/strong>When using tap water, treat all water with skimmed milk powder at a rate of 2.5 g per liter to neutralize traces of chlorine. Distribute the vaccine solution at the time of use to birds. Birds should be deprived of water for two hours before vaccination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
