VAIO-VAC

Composition and Analysis

VAIO-VAC

Live attenuated, lyophilized vaccine against Fowl Pox

Description

VAIOL-VAC is a live, lyophilized vaccine made from attenuated chickenpox virus grown in embryonated SPF eggs. Full immunity develops approximately 10 days after vaccination, but partial protection is provided within a few days.

Application area

  • Prevention of Fowl Pox

Application method and dosage

  • Completely dissolve the contents of the vaccine vial in the solvent.

  • Pour the prepared solution into a plastic container.

  • Dip the applicator needles into the vaccine and inject them into the skin of the chicken's wing (1 injection is sufficient).

  • If a nodular swelling develops at the inoculation site after 6 days, this indicates that the vaccine is effective.

Age and time:

  • Immunity is short-lived in chicks vaccinated before 5–6 weeks of age. In this case, laying hens and parents should be revaccinated before the laying period.

  • It can be applied to healthy chickens in all seasons and at any age.

Emergencies:

  • When the disease begins to spread, only healthy birds should be vaccinated, and sick birds should be isolated.
