Description

Dexine-28 is an iodine-based disinfectant with both detergent and disinfectant properties. It is widely used for cleaning and disinfection of livestock farms. The product is effective against a wide range of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses and fungi that cause major diseases in farm animals. Dexine-28 is suitable for disinfection of all types of surfaces, incubators, egg extractors, feed troughs and dairy equipment. The product is safe for use in the presence of animals. When used in recommended doses, it does not add taste to food or water (non-toxic).


Instructions for use

It must be diluted with water before use.

  • General disinfection (floors/walls of animal housing, cages, egg trays, incubators, water bowls):
    1 liter of Dexine-28 is mixed with 100 – 600 liters of drinking water (0.16 – 1%).
    It is sprayed onto surfaces using a pressure washer at a rate of 250 - 300 ml/m².

  • Airborne disinfection (fogging):
    1 liter of Dexine-28 is mixed with 300 liters of drinking water (0.33%).
    Used with a shoulder bag type sprayer. Adjust the nozzle to spray in the form of a mist.

  • Disinfection of vehicles and equipment:
    1 liter of Dexine-28 is mixed with 200 liters of drinking water (0.5%).
    It is applied with a pressure washer.

  • Cleaning and disinfection of dairy equipment and milk tanks:
    1 liter of Dexine-28 is mixed with 400 liters of drinking water (0.25%).
    Dairy equipment and tank surfaces are washed with this solution before use.

  • Foot and wheel baths:
    1 liter of Dexine-28 is mixed with 100 liters of drinking water (1%).
    A clean solution should be prepared and replaced with a new one when it becomes dirty. It is recommended to replace the solution with a new one once a week.


Contraindications and dangers

  • Can cause serious skin burns and eye damage.

  • Avoid breathing dust/vapours/mist/gas/spray.

  • Use protective gloves, clothing, eye and face protection.

Emergency measures:

  • When swallowed: Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting.

  • In contact with skin: Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Wash skin thoroughly with water or shower.

  • During inhalation: Remove the victim to fresh air and help him/her breathe comfortably.

  • Eye contact: Immediately rinse with plenty of water for several minutes. Remove lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.

  • Wash contaminated clothing and clean it before using it again.

  • Keep out of reach of children.

  • Avoid releasing it into the environment.

  • Waste must be delivered to a hazardous waste collection point in accordance with local regulations.
