Description
Dexid-400 is a powerful and high-performance final disinfectant based on an optimized mixture of glutaraldehyde and quaternary ammonium compounds (QAB) in aqueous solution. It combines the soil penetration, cleaning and rapid microbicidal properties of QABs with the broad-spectrum action of glutaraldehyde. Dexid-400 is intended for use in poultry incubators, livestock buildings, equipment, shoe disinfection baths and wheel washing systems. It is effective against bacteria, viruses and fungi and serves to effectively protect animal health and hygiene. It is used as a final disinfectant for cleaned and washed surfaces.
Instructions for use
Livestock buildings and incubators:
-
Clean the surfaces with a suitable detergent.
-
After washing and drying, apply Dexid-400 by spraying the surfaces at a ratio of 0.25% (if there is no disease; 1:400) or 0.5% (in case of disease; 1:200) (approximately 1 liter of solution per 4 m² area).
-
For fogging: 1 L Dexid-400 + 4 L water per 1000 m³.
-
After a minimum of 20 minutes of contact, rinse the area thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before returning the animals.
Trucks and trailers used for animal transportation:
-
Clean with a suitable detergent.
-
After washing and rinsing, spray with 0.5% (1:200) Dexid-400.
-
Wash after the contact period.
-
Use the same concentration (0.5%; 1:200) for wheel baths.
Storage and processing areas for feed and food products:
-
Clean the surfaces with a suitable detergent.
-
After washing and rinsing, apply 0.25 – 0.5% (1:400 – 1:200) Dexid-400.
-
Rinse thoroughly after contact for at least 20 minutes.
Vehicles transporting food products:
-
Clean with a suitable detergent.
-
After washing and rinsing, apply 0.25 – 0.5% (1:400 – 1:200) Dexid-400.
-
Wash off after at least 20 minutes.
Shoe disinfection baths:
-
Dilute Dexid-400 product at a ratio of 0.5% (1:200).
-
Renew 2–3 times a week, or daily for better results.
Note: Dexid-400 is biodegradable and works effectively in both soft and hard water conditions. The product can be applied by soaking, spraying and fogging methods.
