Vaccination Program
-
In endemic areas, chickens can be vaccinated from the day they are born, with the advice of your veterinarian.
-
The vaccine virus spreads to unvaccinated chickens, which do not show signs of disease.
-
Do not mix with other veterinary products.
-
Respiratory and eye protection should be used during vaccination.
-
The vaccine must be prepared with sterile, disinfectant- and antiseptic-free water.
Application methods
-
Eye drops:
After diluting 1000 doses of vaccine with 3-5 ml of dechlorinated drinking water, this solution should be further diluted with 30-50 ml of dechlorinated water. Using a calibrated dropper, apply 30-50 μl of the vaccine to each chicken's eye, allow the drop to spread, and release the chicken. -
Spray vaccination:
Spray the vaccine solution onto the chickens using a spray capable of producing micro-droplets (average diameter 80-100 μm). The chickens should be kept closely together. The ventilation system of the chicken house should be stopped during spray application. -
Vaccination with drinking water:
If tap water is used, 2.5 grams of skimmed milk powder should be added to each liter of water to neutralize the chlorine in the water. The vaccine solution should be dispensed at the time of use. The chickens should be kept without water for 2 hours prior to vaccination.
