Instructions for Use
-
Active immunization of chickens from the day they are born to reduce clinical signs and mortality of Newcastle disease.
Vaccination Program
-
Chickens can be vaccinated from the day they are born, with the advice of your veterinarian.
-
For optimal reactivation during long-term production cycles, chickens should be immunized first with live NDV vaccines.
-
Development of immunity: 2 weeks after the first vaccination.
-
Duration of immunity: Protective effect for up to 6 weeks with a single dose.
-
The vaccine virus can spread to unvaccinated chickens, but does not cause signs of disease.
-
Protective gloves and safety glasses should be worn during vaccination as it can cause eye inflammation in humans.
Application methods
-
The vaccine is presented as a lyophilized pellet and must be prepared with disinfectant and antiseptic-free, non-chlorinated water before use.
-
Eye drops:
Dilute 1,000 doses of vaccine with 3-5 ml of dechlorinated water, then dilute with an additional 30-50 ml of dechlorinated water. Using a calibrated dropper, apply 30-50 μl of vaccine to each chicken's eye, allow the drop to spread, and release the chicken. -
Spray vaccination:
Spray the vaccine solution onto the chickens using a spray capable of producing micro-droplets (average diameter 80-100 μm). The chickens should be kept closely together. The ventilation system of the chicken house should be stopped during spray application. -
Vaccination with drinking water:
If tap water is used, 2.5 grams of skimmed milk powder should be added to each liter of water to neutralize the chlorine in the water. The vaccine solution should be dispensed at the time of use. The chickens should be kept without water for 2 hours prior to vaccination.
