Ingredients (per gram of powder):

  • Lincomycin (as hydrochloride salt) – 222 mg

  • Spectinomycin (as dihydrochloride pentahydrate salt) – 444 mg

Description:
The combination of lincomycin and spectinomycin has an additive and, in some cases, synergistic effect.

  • Spectinomycin depending on the dose bacteriostatic or bactericide affects, mainly Gram-negative bacteria against:
    Campylobacter spp., E. coli, Salmonella spp., Mycoplasma spp.

  • Lincomycin mainly Gram-positive bacteria against bacteriostatic affects:
    Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Brachyspira spp.

Note: Cross-resistance between lincomycin and macrolides may occur.

Areas of use:
Caused by microorganisms sensitive to spectinomycin and lincomycin gastrointestinal and respiratory tract infections treatment:

Contraindications:

  • Sensitivity to lincomycin and/or spectinomycin

  • Concomitant use with penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones and cycloserine

  • Should not be used in animals with severely impaired renal function.

Side effects:

  • Sensitivity reactions (allergies) may occur.

Dosage and administration method:
Orally (through drinking water):

  • Pigs:
    150 g of the preparation is mixed with 1500 liters of drinking water and used for 7 days.

  • Birds:
    150 g of the preparation is mixed with 200 liters of drinking water and used for 5-7 days.

Waiting time:

  • For meat:

    • Pigs: 0 days

    • Birds: 5 days

  • Not used for eggs – not applicable to birds producing eggs for human consumption
