Ingredients (in 1 gram of powder):
Doxycycline hyclate – 200 mg
Description:
Doxycycline belongs to the group of tetracyclines and has a bacteriostatic effect against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (Bordetella, Campylobacter, E. coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus). It is also active against Chlamydia, Mycoplasma and Rickettsia spp. Its main effect is to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis. Doxycycline is effective in the treatment of respiratory tract infections, as it has a high ability to accumulate in the lungs.
Usage Instructions:
For the treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory tract infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to doxycycline:
In calves, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry
Prohibitions:

Sensitivity to tetracyclines

Severe liver dysfunction

Concomitant administration of penicillin, cephalosporin, quinolone, and cycloserine

Not for use in animals with active microbial digestive systems
Side Effects:

Tooth discoloration in young animals

Dosage:

Calves, sheep, goats: 2 times a day, 5 grams per 200 kg body weight, 3-5 days

Pigs and poultry: 1 kg / 2000-4000 liters of drinking water, 3-5 days
(Note: for non-ruminant calves, lambs and goats only)
Waiting Periods:

Calves: 7 days
